Subhashini Gowda, M.D., FACC
Cardiology and Electrophysiology
Dr. Subhashini A. Gowda, M.D., joined
NBCG as an Electrophysiologist in 2005 and
started a new division taking care of the
electricity of the heart. Dr. Gowda
completed her Internal Medicine residency at
Wayne State University Hospital in Detroit,
MI and her Cardiology fellowship at Temple
University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Subsequently, Dr. Gowda joined St. Luke's
Roosevelt Hospital, Columbia University
College of Physicians and Surgeons, New
York, NY for an Electrophysiology
fellowship. She has done research in several
branches of cardiology and presented
abstracts in National and International
meetings. Dr. Gowda has a special interest
and expertise in ablation of any kind of
abnormal arrhythmias (SVT, VT, Afib, etc.).
At NBCG since 2005, Dr. Gowda has developed
an awareness in the community for
cardiovascular risk factors, prevention of
heart diseases, improving heart failure and
detection of heart rhythm abnormalities. She
has largely contributed in curating,
preventing and halting the progression
several heart rhythm abnormalities. Dr.
Gowda has been leading the volume of Robotic
Magnetic Navigation Ablations in the country
and also has performed a high volume of Left
Atrial Appendage Occlusion devices with both
Watchman and Amulets.
Her other passions that she peruses are
“Women and Heart Disease,” “Prevention
Strategies for Heart Arrythmias,” and
“Women's Advocacy.” Dr. Gowda enjoys travel,
music, sports and art.
