ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY

Our Electrophysiology Department uses the latest technology in atrial fibrillation ablation to care for our arrhythmia patients. Advances in the technology provide patients with greater symptom relief and may eliminate the need for medications. At New Brunswick Cardiology Group we specialize in pacemaker and defibrillator follow ups, implantation of the most complex devices, heart monitoring, tilt table testing, EP studies and ablations. Dr. Gowda is one of the most experienced physicians in the region in performing atrial fibrillation ablations.

NUCLEAR CARDIOLOGY

New Brunswick Cardiology Group performs all stress tests in its Nationally Accredited Nuclear Medicine Department, using state-of-the-art technology. C-Cam, this award winning dual head Gamma Camera includes a reclining chair that provides increased patient comfort, which leads to better image quality and increased diagnostic confidence.

ENHANCED EXTERNAL COUNTERPULSATION (EECP)

EECP is a noninvasive treatment for patients with coronary artery disease. Clinical studies over the past several years have shown that about 75% of patients treated with a single course of EECP experience a reduction in angina and are able to return to a more active lifestyle. This therapy is for patients with coronary disease which is not amenable to corrective therapy by either angioplasty or bypass surgery.
